To address all your concerns of odor, mold, pet dander, and other allergens, I would highly recommend an air purifier that uses Photocatalytic Ionization. It is supported by research and they found it eliminated 90% of the airborne mold and 77% of bacteria within a 5 day period in an area of 750 sq ft. The unit I’m referring to is the Aclare from Advanced Air Solutions. I have 2 of these in my home and it has helped my allergies and asthma tremendously.
