asthma…air purifier?

asthma…air purifier?
i have very bad asthma, but only when it comes to being around any cleaning products, pollen, dust…i also have 4 cats and im sure the cat hair starts it up too….i am looking for an ionic breeze or an air purifier, that’s cost effective and also does not eat up a lot of electric so that i can leave it on at all times…anyone have any suggestions or links for them?
ionic purifiers give off ozone which can harm your lungs, you dont want them……….i just bought an alen purifier, the government consumer report site rated it the best for its price, it is five hundred dollars and the filters are fourty five, you replace every six months, but it gets rid of dander, mold spores, dust mites, etc, also smells…………good luck, just remember you get what you pay for, a fourty dollar gimmick is just that, a gimmick

Consumer reports gave the ionic breeze a bad review and I heard Sharper Image attempted file a lawsuit against CR for the review.

Our 5 yr old has acute asthma and we purchased an air purifier a year ago that really made a difference. We also have cats and burn wood in the winter so all of those things were factors in our decicion to buy this machine. We run ours all the time and it is a whole house unit, not just a single room.
We purchased ours from a private dealer in our area (we live in Nebraska) and right now I don’t have the company name , but if you’re intersted you can e-mail me and I will find out the information or web site you can contact. Just let me know. We were also able to pay for it with auto withdrawls from our checking account instead of having to pay in full when we bought it.
I have really bad asthma to. The things that will trigger it are dust, smoke, cleaning products, cats, dogs, (there fur) any animal fur.
I suggest you go on your breathing machine about once or twice a day ( it really helps!!!) and then get a purifier, wal-mart has some cheap ones that work good. Especially have one near you when your sleeping, you’d be suprised how well that works out!
