Have you tried baking soda? It’s a great do-all deodorizer. Put it all over your carpet for about an hour and vacuum up. There’s no purfume or anything that would just mask the smell. I’ve had much success with this stuff when it comes to smelss and very little with febreeze.
I’d complain to your landlord. Typically, most places replace carpets before new tenants move in. What a cheap landlord!
Use an orange cleaner! You will find it at the pet stores. It works awesome and not to mention smells great. Use the whole thing and let it air dry.
you really may have to rip the carpets out, but first try a commercial wet vac cleaner you can rent at hardware stores. they usually have a cleaning solution for pet odors which are very persistent, but if it got into the floor boards under the carpet, it’s pretty hopeless. sorry. if your landlord is decent, he may help with the cost…
use a lot of febreeze and scented cleaner. Keep some lavender in the room.
Somebody suggested orange cleaner, and it is good.
Mexico City uses strawberry scent to mask the smell of urine that used to permeate their downtown area. (drunks peed everywhere after the bars’ closing time)
I bought some enzyme stuff from petsmart
