The room I’m moving into in a 110 year old house has a cracked wall that might be letting lead into the air. Would an ionic filter or something help reduce the amount?
I’ve also been advised to seal it, we don’t have the money to get it fixed

I am fine with my allergies even on Claritin or Allegra, until I go outside. Once I get stopped up, there’s no curing it. It’s hard to sleep, I sneeze constantly once I start, and it’s just misery. I wanted to try and ionic air purifier (ionic breeze), but I looked at this one, and it looks similar. Is it worth my money? Do you think it would even help my symptoms?

are they the same? We have cats and a 2 year old little girl. She has been suffering from some kind of allergies (at least that’s what the doc thinks). She and the cats have been together since she first came home so I’m not really sure that it’s an allergy to cats. She coughs & has clear runny nose often. She is on Zyrtec now for a few more days. If that doesn’t help (which it really hasn’t all that much) then she might have to get allergy testing done. I try to keep up with the cleaning but it’s hard. We have a 100 year old house, not sure if that matters but I threw it in anyway.

Would a purifer or cleaner help? If so which one? I might need 2 but I am confused as to what to buy.
nope. not boarding them for a few wks. not possible. not just the money either. we’d still have cat hair floating around everywhere. that stuff sticks.

I need someone is knowledgeable about HVAC. Since,when a contractor suggest something for the HVAC,I can’t tell if they are being helpful or trying to make more money off of me and I will lose in the end.

1.I was wondering about getting a new air cleaner/purifier since my dad is using a standard air filter,but my mom and me have allergies,but my dad tend to forget things like to change the air filter every month or so…

So,is it a good choice for me to get the Infinity Air Purifier and it claim that I need no cleaning at all,but I need your guys’ insight?

2.As a homeowner,are you suppose to have the original copy of the permit or no?

When do you know that you need to get a permit?

3.What do you guys mean that the brands of furnace are the same,as in the same company build different brands or the sneaky contractor put a sticker on it and call it that?

4.So,if a labor warranty is 5 years,then the company that built the furnace or whatever will pay the contractor for the labor,correct?

My home is almost 1,800 sq. ft. but we own 3 cats and my boyfriend smokes in the house. We keep the house clean, since I can be a clean freak, but there is still a small stench, that was actually here when we first moved in. We’ve had inspectors come and look, cleaned tremendously, and as both of us being college students right now we need kind of temporary relief considering we don’t have a whole bunch of money nor time to paint/pull up carpet and are on a tight budget. Any help would be great for just some temporary relief for the time being. Thank you so much in advance!

I think I just had some neighbors move in that must smoke a lot because it smells incredibley strong when I walk into my apartment. I guess it must be leaking through the walls I dont know how else it would be happening. What can I do about this? Do air purifiers work, I really dont want to spend a lot of money
