bad design,,,,,,,I bought a package dealy of an american standard toilet & sink, with minor cosmetic defect,so I thought, toilet is ok.
sink, classic sea shell design looks awful purdy,,,,the drain
is a permanent mount gold/brass stopper, stuck to a lever,,,takes a plumber to remove this crapola,
so I can use a simple rubber stopper,,the strong stream of water keeps the drain clear,,,,and when it empties, the mountings it came with mean the water meanders down too slowly, have to treat it
with enzyme solvent to keep it free running,Id rather a 1940s metal cast iron w ceramic that needed no service for 50 years
contact the place you bought it,,find someone who will listen to a suggestion, good luck

That seems to be normal for lots of fans, heaters, air purifiers, etc. I believe the manual that came with our ceiling fan recommended using the higher speeds to help get the fan going before slowing down to the lower settings. The fan seems very slow to start if we turn in on at "low." Always having "high" first would mean that any fan would get up to speed faster.
